RICHARD W. MAACK, M.D., F.A.C.S
Medical Director
Richard W. Maack, M.D., F.A.C.S.the director of Synergi Facial Surgery, a division of ENT Associates/ Sound Health, practices in the state-of-the-art, Facial Surgery facility adjoining the acclaimed Synergi MedSpa in Chesterfield Valley. Dr. Maack artistically and compassionately treats the aging face with surgical enhancements such as face, brow and neck lifts and eyelid surgery as well as nasal refinement and breathing procedures, hair restoration and facial injections to provide patients with a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.
ROBERT CRISTEL, M.D., F.A.C.S
Medical Director
Robert Cristel, MD is a board-certified surgeon specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. He provides individualized, evidence-based facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and general ENT at Synergi Facial Surgery. Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Cristel earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at the University of Illinois-Chicago, followed by advanced training at Washington University. He excels in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck, and has built an impressive portfolio of natural looking results.
MICHELLE
MedSpa Director
With over 25 years of experience in the aesthetic industry, Michelle was involved in the beginning stages of the medical spa evolution, and has seen many medical spas come and go over the years. She believes that there are two key factors that make Synergi MedSpa unique. First is their Medical Director, Dr. Richard Maack, with his on-site presence over his skilled service providers. Second is their strong customer service focus with a personal, intimate client experience. Michelle is proud of Synergi’s 10 years and their recent expansion to help accommodate their growth. She loves interacting with all the clients and looks forward to each visit.
TINA
Lead Spa Coordinator
Tina has always enjoyed the Spa industry, and spent many years as a hair stylist. She loves talking with our clients, and providing excellent customer service. She also likes to learn and share about new products, and treatments. When she is not spending her time at Synergi, she loves to hike, and go to the gym. Tina also enjoys watching sports with her husband, three sons and her bulldog Zeke.
KELLEY
Marketing Coordinator
Kelley graduated from Lindenwood University in 2010 with a degree in Mass Communications. She was in the media sales field for 5 years before flipping over to the media management side of the business in 2015. She feels like she finally found her work home at Synergi, and always jokingly says that they will have to drag her out of here one day (she might be half joking). You might see her filling in at the front desk one day, and chasing down staff members with a camera the next!
TONYA
RN, CANS, CLT
Tonya is a Board Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) and has been an RN for 30+ years. The first 20 years were spent in the hospital setting primarily in Labor and Delivery and Emergency Department. Since 2008, she has been at Synergi Medspa and it is her dream job! She is passionate about restoring skin and the aging face to a natural and beautiful appearance. In 2017, she was selected as a national trainer for Allergan Medical Institute which manufactures Botox, Kybella, and the Juvederm portfolio of dermal fillers. Tonya is the #1 injector of Sculptra in the St. Louis area. She is certified in a wide variety of lasers including 7 platforms on Sciton, 3 on Lumenis including Femtouch, 3 on Medlite Qswitch, Ulthera, Vivace and PRP/PRF for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration. Member of ISPAN and ASLMS. Owner of Aesthetics Revealed LLC which provides private filler and neuromodulator training to other aesthetic providers. Lastly, she was voted top 5% Favorite Injector on Realself 2017. Tonya works closely with Dr. Maack and our estheticians to obtain optimal results while maintaining an “everyone will notice but no one will know” customized plan to each individual client. RACHEL
BSN, RN, CLT
Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011 from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College. She joined our team in 2018. Her career began at St. Louis Children’s Hospital on the Surgery and Trauma floor. We believe her career in pediatrics is what gives her a gentle touch. Rachel currently holds training certificates with the Sciton Profile Laser, Splendor Profile Laser, Botox, and facial fillers. JESSICA
RN, Esthetician
Jessica graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2012. Since then, she has worked in both Pediatric Neurology/Neurosurgery and Adolescent Behavioral Health at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Prior to becoming an RN, she worked as a licensed esthetician and has maintained her license since 2006. Karen is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and Arkansas State University, with nearly 30 years of nursing experience. She has been a full time injector since 2016. She has a very natural style, and loves helping her clients feel like the best version of themselves. She says being a nurse injector is her dream job because it combines her nursing background with her love of all things beauty. SUSAN
Registered Nurse
Susan graduated from St. Louis University School of Nursing and has been a nurse for over 30 years. She has worked in many different fields of nursing including ICU and home health. Over 15 years ago she decided to focus on vascular nursing-both medical and cosmetic conditions. She is an experienced nurse sclerotherapist and also skilled in Sciton laser techniques. Kelly graduated Cum Laude from Barnes College of Nursing at UMSL where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her medical background gives her the upper hand in evaluating and treating challenging skin conditions. In 2005, she graduated from Current Trends Academy and obtained her license to practice aesthetics. Kelly has a thirst for knowledge and a passion for helping others. Kate graduated from Aesthetic Institute of St. Louis in 2008. To advance in her field, she went to True University in Chicago where she received her medical esthetics certification in 2009. After working 7 years at a health and wellness spa, she comes to us to pursue her desire for a more clinical approach to skin care.
